REBECCA KILGORE was born in Waltham, MA but moved to Portland,OR
in '79 where she played guitar and sang with a popular swing band,"Wholly
Cats." The group disbanded in '84 and she formed her own jazz combo
"The Rebecca Kilgore Quintet." This group has played in many northwest
jazz clubs and festivals. In addition, she performs regularly with pianist
Dave Frishberg; her '60s style country band "Beck-a-roof"duets
with violinist James Mason; vocalist with the Woody Hite Big Band and Casey
MacGill's Spirits of Rhythm. She toured Germany with Hal Smith's California
Swing Cats. Rebecca has recorded extensively and appears at many jazz parties
and festivals. Rebecca was on our schedule for 1997 but illness prevented
her participating. We heartily welcomed her in 1998 and are very pleased at
her return in '99
