Mike is from Detroit and has toured extensively with James Dapogny's Chicago Jazz Band. He has performed at the Smithsonian Institute, The Kennedy Center and several times on Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion." Mike recorded four CDs with Dapogny's band on various labels. Other national tour and recording credits include the Butch Thompson Trio, the Chenille sisters and Banu Gibson's New Orleans Hot Jazz. As a cellist, Mike has performed with several orchestras and was soloist with the Livonia Symphony in vintage jazz arrangements for "jazz cello" and orchestra.
