EDDIE HIGGINS - PIANO

Eddie Higgins was born and raised in New England and began his career while attending Northwestern University. For 20 years, he played many of Chicago's best jazz clubs, usually with his trio. During this period, Eddie recorded many albums under his name as well as with Coleman Hawkins, Wayne Shorter, Don Goldie, Freddie Hubbard, Jack Teagarden, Al Grey and others. He has backed many singers and done studio work as pianist and arranger. He has played in every jazz idiom. Eddie now lives in Ft. Lauderdale and divides his time between there and Cape Cod. He is married to singer/pianist Meredith d'Ambrusio. They appear together at many clubs and festivals as well as recording together for Sunny Side Records.
