Jim has recorded extensively with artists that include Doc Cheatham,
Jay McShann, Dick Wellstood, Art Hodes, "Wild Bill" Davison and
Humphrey Lyttelton. He played at the 1991 Nice Jazz Festival in a group
led by Doc Cheatham and has also appeared as a soloist at numerous festivals
and jazz parties in Canada, the U.S. and Europe. Jim took an all-star group
to the Berne International Festival in 1992 and the next year he was one of
the artists representing Canada at the Spring Music Festival in Budapest. In
1993, Galloway was the subject of a half-hour CBC television profile about
his life and music. In 1995 Jim's travels took him on an extensive tour
of Australia and New Zealand in addition to his regular appearances in Europe
and the States. This year's activity will include appearances in Austria,
Britain, Germany, Switzerland and the U.S.
