JOEL FORBES from NY, is an accomplished master of the acoustic bass and has held a place on the NY jazz scene for 25 years. He has shared venues with Dan Barrett, Joe Hohn, Harry Allen, Scott Hamilton, and Grant Stewart. He has achieved international recognition on tours throughout the US, Europe, Japan and Australia. Recently Joel has toured with "BED" that includes Dan Barrett, Eddie Erickson and Rebecca Kilgore. The group appears in the US and abroad and is very popular. Joel has led his own quintet at the Guggenheim Museum's World Best Jazz Series in NYC. Hear some of his own compositions on the CD, "The Joel Forbes Songbook."
