FISCHER, one of the best musicians in New Orleans, and out of work since
KATRINA hit Louisiana. Tom’s wife and two children responded to the
warning to get out of New Orleans
before the hurricane hit and they are ok. Tom’s house is still under water
today.
Tom has performed and
shared the stage with the best New Orleans has to offer including:
Al Hirt’s Band, Banu
Gibson Band, the New Orleans Ragtime Orchestra, the Silver Leaf Jazz Band and
is one of the first call musicians for all the bands in the “BIG EASY.”
Tom Fischer lost
everything in hurricane KATRINA and has come to the Washington D.C. area to
play real New Orleans jazz right here at 219’s Basin Street Lounge.
Please come and make a donation to this out-of-work musician.
