Evan Christopher - Clarinet

Evan Christopher was born in Long Beach, CA and began clarinet at 11. In high school he received the Louis Armstrong National Jazz Award. Evan studied at the University of Southern California graduating cum laude from California State University, Long Beach. He played with California bands with Preservation Hall, Al Hirt to funk and brass bands. In 1996 he joined the Jim Cullum Jazz Band for three years and was their featured clarinetist on the NPR shows. Evan has recorded many CDs under his own name and as guest artist with other bands. He lives in NY but visits NO often and tours the US and Europe.
